Our customers rarely have problems accessing
their music downloads or files, but when they do it's quite
often one of the following two problems. Both are easily fixed,
so if this is you, read on...
"I
Can't Open the Zip Folder"
Mac - Macs do sometimes have issues with unzipping.
Fortunately Apple have a solution on their site, it's called
Stuffit Expander, it's a free download from the Apple
Website, last time we checked the link was here Mac
App Store.
If you're using a Mac, please try this first, it cures 99.999%
of the problems :-)
PC - if you're using Winzip, please make sure
it's a current version, as older versions are unreliable,
and this is quite often the problem. Alternatively, we recommend
you try another unzipper called 7-Zip, it's free and very
good, download it from http://www.7-zip.org/
"I
cannot open my Receipt/Invoice PDF file"
When you make a purchase, we email your receipt
and license as a PDF File. We also send the same information
as text within standard emails.
If you can't open the PDF file and are using
webmail (gmail, yahoo etc) they do sometimes have issues with
viewing/downloading PDF's attached to emails. This is their
issue that we cannot change, and does not affect most users.
If you are using webmail and your PDF is either "not
there" when you open it, your email appears blank, or
the PDF fills your page with code, this is the most likely
cause.
The solution is either:
1 - instead of using your webmail client, collect the entire
email with attachment from your webmail account to another
email client on your computer, for example Outlook (PC) and
Mail (Mac). The PDF will be there, and you can then open it
as usual in your PDF reader.
or...
2 - the PDF contains your license and invoice. Exactly the
same information is contained in the 2 standard emails you
receive when making your purchase, as text in the emails -
Print/use these emails instead as a record of your invoice
and license.
The PDF looks nicer to print, but the text and legal content
is the same :-)
Less likely solutions, but worth checking anyway...
